West Bengal HS Council likely to review class 12 board exam dates

A senior person said that the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education will review the schedule of class 12 board exams to be held offline from April 2 to avoid possible clashes with the dates of other medical and engineering entrance exams. Bhattacharya, however, said that any change in the dates of Class 12 board exams would not be hasty and arbitrary. WBCHSE chairman C. Bhattacharya told the media that many higher secondary students appear in the national level joint entrance examinations, and hence the council is contemplating to change the schedule of board examinations.

WBBSE has published the Exam Schedule and Secondary Exam

Every year the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) is responsible for conducting the Madhyamik (1st Class) examination. WB Board every year conducts 10th class examination in various exams in the month of March or April. We are suggested that this year the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education is going to conduct the WB Secondary Examination in the month of March 2022 and released the exam schedule in the month of November 2021. WBBSE has published the exam schedule and there will be secondary exam, 07 March and final exam started from 16 March 2022. West Bengal HS Higher Secondary Class 12 Exam 2022 Dates Revised to Avoid Conflict with JEE Main 2022:
West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has revised the dates for some of the class 12 papers to avoid clash with JEE (Main). For the greater interest and convenience of the candidates who will attempt JEE Main along with HS exam, the council has rescheduled the exam dates, – the HS Council mentioned in a release. JEE Main is to be conducted from 16 to 21 April.

Cases of CORONA-19

The higher secondary examinations could not be conducted last year due to the spike in COVID-19 cases. With the coronavirus tally dipping as of late, students will be writing their papers offline this time.

The Other exams that were revised:
As per the revised exam schedule, the Chemistry paper which was scheduled to be held on April 16 will now be held on April 13. Other exams which were revised are- Statistics, Geography, Economics, Journalism and Mass Communication, Philosophy, Sociology & Other.

Exams now extended till 26 April instead of 20 April

WBCHSE chairman C. Bhattacharya told reporters that the exam will begin on April 2 as per the schedule, but the dates for some papers scheduled for the end of April have been revised. Bhattacharya said that the examinations have now been extended till April 26 instead of April 20. All examinations will be held at home centres.
