The West Bengal government and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta on Saturday said they have joined hands to provide leadership training to 1350 school heads. The beneficiaries will include heads of government and government aided primary, secondary and higher secondary level educational institutions in batches.
West Bengal Education Minister Bartaya Baseu stated that the “LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMEMNT PROGRAMME” would harness the latent leadership quality of the heads of these institutions, and that they would be agents of change or “instigators of change, as once famous linguist Noam Chomsky played the role. The training program of intellectuals is to be conducted in small batches in December 2021 and January 2022.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM)- Calcutta has started its 14th batch of Advanced Program in Strategic Management for Corporate Leaders. Working professionals and entrepreneurs with more than seven years of work experience and 50-51 percent or more in graduation or post-graduation can register for the programme. The program consists of a series of practitioner-interaction sessions, a statement from IIM Calcutta mentioned. The participants will work in teams and undertake organization-based specialized or comprehensive projects of their choice, as directed by the IIMC faculty. Projects will be introduced and presented during the final 4-day on-campus module.
IIM Calcutta will conduct online programs every Monday from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm for six months. There will be a campus session of four days for the position of prestigious IIM Calcutta MDP Executive Education alumni. Applicants will have to pay Rs 3.5 lakh and applicable GST which will be payable in 3 installments, along with the applicants will have to pay campus fee of Rs 32 thousand and applicable GST for pursuing the advanced programme.
