All DDEs and DDEs (Dist. & Zones) are directed to open temporary immunization centres for students in the age group of 15-18 years in 20 schools where school health clinics operate, the Directorate of Education (DOE) said in an order. The Delhi government has directed to open temporary immunization centres for 15–18-year-olds in 20 of its schools, where health clinics are running. The vaccination campaign for children of the age group started on 3 January.
The authorities have to coordinate with the district magistrates to set up the vaccination centres. Adequate space will be provided separately by the school principals for the vaccination centres. Earlier in the day, DoE directed to take various measures to expedite the CORONA-19 vaccination of children in the age group of 15-17.
Check vaccination procedures on daily basis:
All the Education Dept. of Districts and Zones will visit the vaccination centres under their jurisdiction and check the vaccination procedures on a daily basis. In addition, they will visit the schools and check the records being maintained with those principals. Where the students are informed about the vaccination schedule, the DoE said in an order.
The officer will randomly call students and parents to find out whether they were informed about the vaccination and whether they have been vaccinated or not. Heads of schools will also have to step up mobilization efforts to ensure that more than 80% of children in every school are vaccinated.
Schools in Madhya Pradesh to remain open, operate with 50% capacity:
Schools in Madhya Pradesh will remain open following the CORONA-19 guidelines. As per reports, Chief Minister Singh Chouhan said that schools will continue to function with 50 per cent capacity for all classes till the state government reviews the third wave of CORONA-19 in the coming days.
The statement came as CM Singh Chouhan chaired a review meeting to assess the situation in the state and prepare to arrest the spike in coronavirus cases in districts reporting more than 75 per cent of the total daily cases, In which Jabalpur, Indore, Bhopal are included. Ujjain and Gwalior, among others.
CORONA-19 Security Management:
In view of the third wave of the pandemic, the Chief Minister meanwhile directed the State Secretariat and Districts to monitor the Corona Security Management to ensure that the data related to CORONA is collected, prepared and updated on a daily basis.
Everyday Kovid cases are increasing rapidly in Madhya Pradesh. However, we are monitoring the situation carefully and further decisions on imposing more restrictions will be taken as per the situation in the coming days, – Chouhan said.
According to the health bulletin issued by the state government, Madhya Pradesh recorded 2,327 new CORONA CASES on Monday, taking the number of active cases to 8,597.
