Union Minister of State for Agriculture S. Karandlaje, Karnataka Water Resources Minister G. Karjol and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. Manjunath Prasad was also present in the meeting. A senior official of the Union Agriculture Ministry told PTI after the meeting that Bomamai invited Tomaar to start a scholarship for the children of farmers of the state.
Class 11 To Postgraduate Scholarship Program:
Bomamai had announced a scholarship program for these children (class 11 to post-graduation) after taking oath on July 28. Bomamai met the Union Agriculture Minister and discussed about the scholarship program for the children of farmers of the state.
Mekeadatu Drinking Water Project, Upper Krishna Project, Kalsa-Bandurinla Project (Mahadayi) are awaiting Centre’s approval.
Later, Shri Bomamai met Jal Shakti Minister G. Singh also met Sheakhawata and sought early approval for pending projects in inter-state river water disputes relating to Cauvery, Krishna and Mahadayi rivers.
Participation of Ministers:
Apart from this, he is also scheduled to meet Union Finance Minister Niramala Sitharamana, Transport and Highways Minister Gadkari Ji and Health Minister Manasukh Mandaaviya. He will also attend the wreath laying ceremony at the Police Memorial Hall here.
Karnataka Health Minister K. Sudhaakar and Industries Minister Murugesha Niraani accompany Bomamai on his two-day visit.
Karnataka Becomes First State To Launch National Education Policy:
Karnataka is going to become the first state to launch NEP 2020. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is launching various programs under the implementation of NEP.
The Government of Karnataka has launched the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 through a virtual press conference in Bengaluru.
Karnataka Launches Research & Development Policy
During the virtual launch of the NEP, it was also announced that Karnataka would soon launch a research and development policy aimed at promoting research and quality research practices in the state. The implementation of NEP 2020 will include some landmark initiatives like revision of the entire curriculum structure and curriculum in colleges and several programs will be offered to the students.
Addressing the virtual event, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said – Karnataka has set an example for other states by becoming the first state to implement the National Education Policy (NEP). Higher Education Minister Dr CN Narayan said that the state government has decided to implement the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
National Education Policy 2020, organized by Social Media Cell of BJP, Dr Narayan said- it will be implemented through a planned strategy that will reach every college through universities. We are trying to clear the doubts and confusions raised by people from different sections of the society regarding the implementation of NEP in the state.
