Coaching institutes in Kota are set to reopen from September 1 following the Rajasthan government’s nod to reopen schools in the state. Centres Announced A Number Of Security Measures: However, the coaching centres have announced several safety measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus among the students. There are around 37-42 major coaching institutes in the city. Around 2900 hostels and the number of restaurants or messes that offer room and meals to these students give a boost to the local economy, which was badly hit by the CORONA-19 pandemic.

CORONA Protocol Takes Top Priority

The institutes said that they have ensured that vaccination and full compliance with the COVID protocol are top priority and hence, almost the entire staff, faculties and students above 18 years have been vaccinated in most of the coaching centres in the city.
A district officer said on Friday that special arrangements have been made to vaccinate students upon arrival in the city, and those who have not been vaccinated will be given priority to receive the jab at local health centres.

Biometric Attendance Will Be Changed From The Register:
Every year around 1.70 lakh students from across the country come to Kota, a leading coaching hub of the country, for various engineering and medical entrance examinations.
In hostels and messes, biometric attendance will be replaced by registers, which will have a column to classify students with Influenza-Like-Illness (ILI) and advise them of routine medical care and be monitored by medical teams.

Mess Has Brought Down to 50 Percent

He said that even after the start of offline classes, the online option will be available for the students. Kota Coaching Association President Naveen Mittal said that most of the hostel buildings in the city have been sanitized and the number of students in the mess has also been reduced by 50 per cent.
Students have been called in different batches from September 1 to September 15 to avoid overcrowding at coaching centres.

Culture In Kota Hostels

The hostels in Kota have a one-room culture which already adequately keeps the students safe, but now there will be a complete ban on accommodating more than one student in a room.
Mittal said a separate room on the top floor of each hostel has been developed into a quarantine zone, with more than 19,500 students reaching Kota in the last few days. At present, there are more than 50,200 students from outside in Kota.

Director Of Education Department & Kota Collector Stated:
Kota Collector Ujjwal Rathore told that the coaching institutes of the city have been asked to check the RT-PCR negative report and vaccination certificate of the students coming to the city.

The Deputy Director of Education Department has been deputed as the nodal officer to oversee the reopening of classes from Wednesday, September 1 and directed him to arrange special vaccination camps for students above 18 years of age.
