Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (RBSE) has postponed the 12th practical examinations. State Education Minister Dr. B. Kalla said that the practical examination of class 12 was to be held from January 17. New dates will be announced later. In view of the increase in the number of CORONA-19 active cases, it has been decided to postpone the examinations.
The practical examinations of class 12th, which began on January 17 in the state, have been postponed till further orders. Due to the increasing corona infection, 25 districts of the state have come under the red zone. In view of these circumstances and on the advice of experts, this decision has been taken.
Protect children from corona infection:
The Education Minister of Rajasthan said that after a proper review of the circumstances, a decision will be taken regarding conducting practical examinations for the training of children. Kalia said that in the present situation, protecting children from corona infection is more important than conducting practical exams.
RBSE will conduct the final exams of class 10 and class 12 from March 3 following the CORONA & OMICRON guidelines. The date sheets for these exams are likely to be released in the first week of February, said RBSE spokesperson R. Gupta. Amidst the second wave of CORONA & OMICRON, RBSE did not conduct board exams for both class 10 and class 12 students. It devised an alternate scheme for assessing students and declaring their results.
Offline classes in Chhattisgarh’s colleges, universities amid CORONA & OMICRON surge:
Due to a steady rise in KOVID-19 cases in Chhattisgarh, the state government on Thursday ordered that offline classes in colleges and universities be called off with immediate effect, and also attendance caps for academic and non-academic staff in these institutions. be determined. the officer said. He said that the state higher education department in its order has asked the colleges to conduct the first and second semester examinations of all courses either in online or mixed (online + offline) mode.
Along with this, instructions should be issued to the academic and non-academic employees of colleges and universities to participate in one-third of the total strength at their workplace on the basis of roster system.
Referring to the order, the public relations department official said that physical classes in all government and private universities and colleges should be banned with immediate effect and classes should be conducted online.
The examinations for the first and third semesters of all courses (conducted as per semester system) for the academic session 2024-25 should be conducted online or in mixed mode. He said that the concerned universities may issue detailed guidelines in this regard. The state government has already closed schools in those districts where the positivity rate of CORONA & OMICRON infection is four per cent or more. Following that order, schools have been closed in several districts, including state capital Raipur.
Schools in Madhya Pradesh will remain open following the CORONA & OMICRON guidelines. As per reports, Chief Minister S.S. Chouhan said that schools will continue to function with 50 % capacity for all classes till the state government reviews the third wave of CORONA & OMICRON in the coming days.
