The Punjab government on Tuesday ordered the reopening of schools for classes 10 to 12 from July 26 as it further relaxed the Covid restrictions.

Vaccination Before Allowing:
During a COVID review meeting, Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said that schools for class 10 to Class 12 will be allowed to open, but only those teachers and staff will be allowed to be physically present who are fully vaccinated. The attendance of students in schools will be completely with the consent of the parents and the option of virtual classes will continue.

Limitations About Indoor & Outdoor Events

An undertaking to this effect will be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner concerned, he said, according to the statement. Besides this, the state government also announced to increase the number of people to 150 for indoor events and 300 for outdoor events, subject to an upper limit of 50 per cent of the venue’s capacity, a statement said.
Earlier, gatherings of 100 persons were allowed for indoor and 200 for outdoor events. Punjab had recorded 16,237 coronavirus deaths and 5,98,387 infections respectively till Monday.

Reduced Syllabus, Haryana Board, For Class 10 & 12 (2024-25)

Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) has reduced the syllabus of class 10 and class 12 for the academic session 2024-25. BSEH, the board that conducts class 10th, or secondary, and class 12th, or senior secondary annual exams, this year also took the decision considering the constraints of students facing disruption in academic activities due to the extended lockdown in the country to reduce the syllabus by 30 percent.
BSEH said – The Haryana Board of School Education has decided to reduce the syllabus by 30 per cent for secondary and senior secondary classes for the academic session 2024-25. The new syllabus is available on the official website of the board.

Last Year Reduced Syllabus

The board last year also reduced the syllabus for class 9 to 12 students to make up for the loss of studies due to the coronavirus pandemic. Similarly, the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has also reduced the syllabus of ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) examinations for the year 2022.
CISCE had reduced the syllabus for class 10 and class 12 subjects. were made available on the official website cisce.org. This decision has been taken in view of the difficulties being faced by the students amid the Coronavirus crisis.

Schools, Colleges Of Chhattisgarh Will Reopen For Class 10, 12

In view of the decline in COVID cases, the Chhattisgarh government has decided to reopen Class 10 and 12 schools and colleges and schools with 50 per cent attendance from August 2, said on Tuesday.
A decision in this regard was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister B. Baghel at his official residence here. Colleges and schools were closed in the state since the second wave of coronavirus began in March this year.

Attendance On Alternate Days

In view of the prevailing COVID-19 situation, physical classes for the students of universities and colleges for the academic session 2024-25 will be started from August 2 with 50 per cent daily attendance.
Students will attend classes on alternate days, while online classes for all streams will continue as before, the official clarified, adding that physical classes are not mandatory.

ITIs Permission For Open

All Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the state would be started from August 2, while medical, engineering and polytechnic colleges would be reopened in a phased manner. Similarly, physical classes for class 10 and 12 will resume from August 2 with 50 per cent attendance, and students will need parental permission to attend these classes.

Reopening Of Hostels And Residential Schools

Meanwhile, for reopening of schools in areas where there are no Covid cases, gram panchayats will have to take a call after consulting parents, while in urban areas the concerned corporators will have to discuss with the parents, it was said.
The cabinet has given permission for the reopening of hostels and residential schools in the tribal-dominated Bastar division, which comprises seven districts, the statement said.

Reopen Anganwadi

The proposal of the Bastar division commissioner to restart the hostel, ashram and porta cabin for children of class VIII to XII has been approved,” the official said,
adding that the government has decided to reopen Anganwadi centres have also decided in two shifts from 26th July.

COVID-19 Cases

Till Monday, Chhattisgarh had recorded 10,00,169 COVID-19 cases, including 13,500 deaths. The number of active cases in the state is 3,469 and 9,83,200 people have recovered from the infection.
