CBSE on Wednesday announced the exam dates for class 12 private/correspondence and second compartment students.
About 1.2 lakh students of CBSE 12th private/correspondence and other compartments are protesting against the examinations. Students say that there should be no difference between them and regular students, they should also be promoted. Students have been running a campaign on Twitter for the past several days. A letter has also been written to the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan regarding this matter.
On Tuesday, the students intensified their agitation. On one hand the students staged a peaceful sit-in outside the CBSE office. On the other hand, his hashtag WAKEUP-CBSE started trending. Following the social distancing, the students staged a sit-in and tried to convey their point to CBSE.
The students of private/correspondence and other compartment say that when the regular exam was cancelled, they mailed the CBSE, CBSE controller of examinations to the students whether the private exam has been cancelled or not. Bharadwaj gets the reply that all the exams have been cancelled.
Later, when CBSE released the evaluation policy for class 12th, it was given in its circular that after the improvement in the situation of corona epidemic, the examination of private/correspondence and other compartment students would be conducted. After this circular, the protest of the students started.
A student said, “While regular students are busy preparing for competition and higher education, private students are worried about what will happen to their future. Many entrance exams like NEET-UG, CLAT are proposed in the coming days. Something similar is to be held on September 12, NEET-UG.
Now these students should prepare for entrance exam or board exam. There are also many students who have enrolled to study abroad and they have to register their attendance with their documents on or before 15th August, but those students may be denied enrolment due to non-examination results. Students have also deposited huge fees there. This is a very serious issue. In the interest of the students, the government should decide to cancel the examination of private or compartment or correspondence students at the earliest.
Students say that at first, they were not given clear information about private examinations whether it would be or not, later it was told that the examination would be held. Other exams are getting delayed so much that they may have trouble getting admission. At the same time, many students have deposited the admission fee abroad, but their 12th examination could not be done here, the result is still far away, so there is a danger of cancellation of their admission.
The exam dates were released on Wednesday. CBSE said that the examinations of 12th private/compartment/correspondence students will be held from 16 August 2021 to 15 September 2021. CBSE said that the result of these students cannot be prepared as per the evaluation policy as the board or the school does not have it. enough records.
CBSE said that the matter of private students was heard in the Supreme Court and after that it was decided that the result of private students would be prepared on the basis of written examination. It will be the endeavour of CBSE that the results of the students are released in the shortest possible time so that the students do not face any problem in admission to higher education.
Not only this, CBSE said that the UGC and the board are keeping the interests of the students in mind. UGC will manage the admission schedule prepared according to the result of the students, as it was done last year.
