PM Modi to Inaugurate 9 Medical Colleges in Uttar Pradesh Today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate nine medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh during his state visit tomorrow at 10.30 am. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said that PM Modi will inaugurate medical colleges from Siddharthnagar and the Pradhan Mantri Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana in Varanasi at around 1:15 pm.
The nine medical colleges to be inaugurated are located in i) Siddharthnagar, ii) Etah, iii) Hardoi, iv) Pratapgarh, v) Fatehpur, vi) Deoria, vii) Ghazipur, viii) Mirzapur and ix) Jaunpur districts.

700 MBBS Seats will Increase in this Academic Session

8 Medical Colleges have been sanctioned under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme for “Establishment of New Medical Colleges Linked to District/ Referral Hospitals”, while one in Jaunpur has been made functional by the State Government through its own resources. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had earlier said that 700 MBBS seats will increase in Uttar Pradesh this academic session after the inauguration of new medical colleges.

Biggest All India Schemes to Strengthen Healthcare Infrastructure:
Pradhan Mantri Atmanirbhara Swastha Bharat Yojana (PMASBY) will be one of the biggest all India schemes to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and will be in addition to the National Health Mission.
Under the three phases of the scheme, 157 new medical colleges have been sanctioned across the country, out of which 63 medical colleges are already functional.

Increasing the Availability of Health Professionals

The objective of the scheme is to increase the availability of health professionals, correct the existing geographical imbalance in the distribution of medical colleges and effectively utilize the existing infrastructure of district hospitals. Under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme, preference is given to disadvantaged, backward and aspirational districts.

Registration For All India Quota Seats

NEET PG Counselling to Begin from Today, Registration For All India Quota Seats:
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin the NEET PG 2021 counselling for 50 percent All India Quota (AIQ) seats today, October 25. Candidates who have qualified the postgraduate medical entrance exam can apply online [email protected].

1) As per the schedule, the last date for registration and payment of fee is October 29.
2) The window for choice filling and locking will be available from October 26 to 29.
3) Institutes will verify their internal candidates on 30th October and seat allotment results will be declared on 3rd November.
4) Selected candidates will have to report for admission to the institutes between 4th to 10th November.
5) The registration for round 2 counselling will start from November 15.
6) Round 2 Counselling will be followed by Mop-up round and Stray vacancy round.
7) NMC and NBE have informed that fresh LOP and accreditation will be issued by 15/11/2021.
8) Hence, fresh/fresh seats cannot be included in Round 2 of NEET-PG Counselling, 2021 starting from 15/11/2021.
9) Candidates are advised to make a wise decision during choice filling in the first round of NEET-PG counselling 2021.

Keep a Copy of the Application form and Admit Card

NBE said that the candidates will also be asked to fill certain information provided in the NEET PG application form during the counselling process. It has asked the candidates to keep a copy of the application form and admit card ready for the documents. These documents can be kept as they may be required till you complete your PG course.
