Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a webinar organized by the Ministry of Education on the implementation of the Union Budget 2024-25 on Monday, February 21. “Today at 11 am, will address a webinar on how this year’s Union Budget will have a positive impact on the education sector,” the PM said on the social platform.
The objective of the webinar is to brainstorm with experts from the public and private sectors, academia and industry and identify strategies to best move towards implementation of various issues under different sectors.
The webinar will have sessions on various topics of relevance and will see the participation of government officials, industry representatives, skill development organisations, academicians, students and other experts from various ministries and state governments.

Seven parallel breakout sessions will be conducted under the identified themes. Action points, comprehensive strategies and timelines for implementation will be identified by the participating teams focusing on the principles of ease of education and exploitation of employment opportunities.

This year’s Union Budget announced the establishment of a new Digital University, which will provide world-class quality universal education to students across the country with a personalized learning experience at their doorstep. Finance Minister N. Sitharaman also announced 751 virtual laboratories in science and mathematics to promote too critical thinking skills.
President Kovind to inaugurate “Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate” lecture-competition program on February 22:
President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday will inaugurate “Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate”, a nationwide week-long program of competitions and lectures for school students and college students, through online mode. K.D. Mishra, Vice Chancellor of Rani Durgavati University here said on Saturday that the Union Ministry of Science and Technology has selected three institutes in Madhya Pradesh to organize the event.
Students from government and private institutions can participate, for which they have to register on the government website.
Dr. PK Dighara, Senior Principal Scientist, MPCST told reporters, “Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate” (Science is revered everywhere) aims at attracting students towards scientific knowledge of things of daily use and dissemination of scientific principles.
Each day of the program is based on different themes. The closing ceremony will be on February 28.
On February 23 – it will be History of Indian Science, February 24 – will be Milestones of Modern Indian Science and Technology, February 25 – will be Indigenous Traditional Inventions and Innovations, February 26 – will be the Science Literature Festival, whereas on February 27 – there will be science and technology for the next 25 years.
