More than 51.75 lakh students will appear in the UP-Board class 10 and 12 board exams. This includes a total of 27,83,743 class 10 students and 23,91,840 class 12 students, the board. Besides this, a total of 58,70,940 students will appear for class 9 and 11 under the UP board, which includes information shared by 31.91 lakh class 9 and 26.77 lakh class 11 students.
UP Board’s 2022 exams for class 10 and 12 students are expected to be held in April after the assembly elections are over. Deputy CM D. Sharma had earlier said that the marks for the half-yearly examinations have already been uploaded on the official website of the UP Board and the pre-board examinations would be taken before the elections in January.
Earlier, when the number of applications was less than the 2021 board exams, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) extended the board exam application deadline till December 15.
The combined numbers are almost the same as last year when around 27.6 lakh students had registered for class 12 exams, of which 13,992 are private candidates. Around 23.41 lakh students had registered for the class 10 exam, of which 1.15 lakh are private candidates.
UP Board to set up examination centres using tagging and mapping techniques:
If Term 2 examinations could not be conducted the results would be declared on the basis of last year no board exam could be conducted and the result was calculated on the basis of specific criteria. Thus, this year many boards decided to split the examinations into two.
Like CBSE, the board also divided the examinations this year into two phases. It is compliant with Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). Students will be assessed on the basis of 49-50% syllabus in TERM-1 and the rest in TERM-2. All schools have been directed to complete the syllabus by January 15, 2022.
The final results will include both rules and internal assessment. If the examination of TERM-2 cannot be conducted then the result will be declared on the basis of the result of TERM-1 and internals.
