National Institute of Open Schooling, NIOS has taken out an official notice cancelling the On Demand Examinations, ODE. In view of the prevailing situation of the Covid 19 pandemic in the country, National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has decided to cancel the on-demand examinations which were originally scheduled to be conducted from April to May 2021.
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) Institute has taken this call due to the on-going crisis or emergency of COVID-19 in the country. In the wake of this decision, the Institute has cancelled exams that were scheduled between April 19, 2021 and May 31, 2021. The official notice was an extension and in continuation of a previous notice with regards to the ODE. This notice had to do with the postponement of the exams.
As notification stated “In continuation of earlier notification regarding postponement of on-demand examinations (ODE) (both theory and practical), it is notified that the said ODE exams for the period from April 19-May 31 stand cancelled in view of the prevailing situation of Covid-19 pandemic in the country”.
NIOS said that the decision has been made while taking into account the safety of the students. We will take some more decisions after improve the CORONA situation. Because students are waiting for long time. Students will now be evaluated sans exams based on objective criteria.
However, in the same notice, NIOS has also mentioned about the results. According to the notice, candidates who have already registered for the exams in the mentioned period, will get their results. These reults will be computed according to the objective criteria of assessment adopted by The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) for Secondary and Senior Secondary Public Examination which was scheduled for June 2021.
But these exams were also cancelled due to the on-going COVID-19 crisis in the country and a notice for the same was already released.
All the students of the institute, they know that NIOS had recently declared the result for on-demand exams conducted in April 2021. The result was been declared for both secondary and senior secondary exams. Candidates can check their scorecards at nios.ac.in.
The on-demand class 10, 12 exams were conducted from April 1 to 15, 2021. The candidates who were appearing for these exams can check the official notice by NIOS.
