Jaipur Police has arrested 8 people in connection with cheating and paper leak in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2021. Police on Sunday (12.09.2021) arrested a candidate for cheating in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam., Seven others, apart from the candidate, including the in-charge of the centre, have been arrested for alleged paper leak and copying in the NEET exam on Sunday (12.09.2021).
NEET exam was held on Sunday. Richa Tomar (Deputy Commissioner Of Police) said on Monday that the police have arrested 18-year-old candidate Kumari Dineshwari along with inspector Ram Singh, in-charge of the administration unit of the examination centre Mukesh, uncle of Dineshwari and four others.
Deal Of More Than 25 Lakhs Finalised:
The candidate’s uncle was caught from outside the centre with Rs 10 lakh in cash. The accused has been arrested by confiscating the phone, a team has been sent to Sikar to nab the people who solved the paper. The deal was finalized for Rs 30-35 lakh, after the examination is over of which Rs 10 lakh was to be given immediately
Anil had mediated between the candidate, his uncle and the accused who facilitated the fraud. The deal was finalized for Rs 30-35 lakh, out of which Rs 10-12 lakh was to be given immediately after the examination is over, he said. Besides them, Anil, owner of an e-Mitra center and owner of a coaching center in Bansoor, Alwar were also arrested, the Richa Tomar (Deputy Commissioner Of Police) said.
Kumari Dineshwari, the arrested 18-year-old, examiner said that after the commencement of the examination, accused Ram Singh and Mukesh sent the photo of the examination paper through social platform (Whats APP) to two people sitting in an apartment in Chitrakoot area of Jaipur, who later sent it to some other people.
The men (who is present in Sikar) sent the answer key to two men in Chitrakoot, who sent it to Mukesh. After this Mukesh sent it to Singh. Network was strong where again Singh helped Dineshwari solve the paper with the help of the answer key, – she said.
The investigating Police officer said that Dineshwari’s uncle was present outside the examination centre with money. 10 lakhs in cash which was to be given to the accused who helped the candidate.
NTA, Had Denied Any Leaks:
This comes a day after the exam and three days after the alleged leak was reported. However, the exam conducting body, National Testing Agency had denied any leak.
