The Madhya Pradesh School Education Department has announced the reopening of schools in the state from September 20. As per the order, classes 1 to 5 Standard will reopen with 50 per cent capacity, while class 8, 10, 12 will be reopened with 100 per cent student attendance.
The board has also announced plans to reopen hostel or residential schools for students with 50 per cent capacity. On the other hand, Zilla Parishad teachers and villagers of Devani tehsil in Latur district of Maharashtra collected Rs 40.75 lakh for the renovation of schools and served for education in their vicinity.

Students Will Be Allowed to Attend Offline Classes

However, the order has also made it clear that attendance is not mandatory for offline classes and students must attend schools with the permission and consent of their parents.
The Madhya Pradesh School Education Department, through an official order, said that the students will be allowed to attend the offline classes only after the permission of their parents.

Schools To Be Penalized

Schools To Be Penalized For Violating CORONA-19 Protocols:
Along with offline classes, online classes for students will also continue and vaccination process will also be intensified to reduce the risk of CORONA-19 spread in the state. It is mandatory for all schools to follow the CORONA-19 protocols and ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) announced by the government are followed in the schools. Schools will be penalized if they violate the CORONA-19 protocol and any negligence on their part is evident.

According to a news report, Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant said that the academic year will start from November 1.

Teachers and villagers

Teachers and villagers raise Rs 40 lakh for the renovation of Zilla Parishad schools in Maharashtra (Latur). Block Development Officer Manoj Raut said on Tuesday that 260 Zilla Parishad teachers and hundreds of villagers explained to the people the cause and the need to donate to them.

There are 55 villages and 44 gram panchayats in the tehsil, 64 of which are Zilla Parishad schools, 60 of which are being renovated, an notification said. Out of Rs 40.75 lakh collected, an amount of 23.5 lakh was raised by the villagers and the rest by the teachers.
