Class teaching in the primary section of Madhya Pradesh schools resumed on Monday after being closed since March 24, last year, officials said. However, he said attendance was low despite the cap of 50 per cent of the class strength.
Schools were closed since March 24, 2020. The students looked excited to be back in the classroom after such a long gap. Those who did not have mobile phones to attend the online classes appeared more excited, – informed Bhopal District Education Officer (DEO).
Vini R. Modi, vice-president of Association of Unaided Private Schools, said that most of the schools were currently conducting three-monthly exams through online mode.
Only 25 per cent of parents in private schools have given consent for the physical presence of their children. They will start coming to schools after the completion of three months of examinations. Schools for class 6 to 12 started earlier, with a 50 percent attendance cap per day.
Himachal Pradesh Schools To Remain Closed Till September 25:
An official spokesperson said on Monday that schools in Himachal Pradesh will remain closed till September 25 due to the CORONA-19 situation in the state. The state government had earlier ordered closure of schools till September 21.
The order states that the standard operating procedure developed by the education department for residential schools will be followed so that the spread of Kovid-19 can be stopped.
Classes Resumed For 6 To 8th Students From 20.09.2021 In Rajasthan Schools:
School activity for classes 1 to 5 will resume from September 27 with 50 per cent capacity. As per the fresh guidelines issued by the Rajasthan government on Friday, regular classes for students of classes 6 to 8 in government and private schools with 50 per cent capacity have resumed from September 20.
The state government had started classes from September 1 for the students of class 9th to 12th. Now classes from class 1 to 5 will resume from September 27. Morning assembly prayers and opening of school canteens are not allowed in the guidelines.
J&K: Schools In Srinagar Reopen For Class 10, 12 With CORONA Protocols:
Schools for classes 10 and 12 in Srinagar reopened on Monday, following the CORONA-19 protocol. Students were seen happy and enthusiastic when physical classes resumed.
School Students are Happy
Bushra, a student of Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Kothi-bagh, Srinagar, said, – She is feeling very happy when classes resume. Teachers were putting a lot of effort into online classes, but they were not comfortable.
Expressing happiness over meeting friends in the school, a student Humaira Manzoor said, – I am very happy that schools have reopened. Now I can meet my friends and teachers.
Moreover, Shabaina Taj, a teacher of the English faculty in the same school said, – We are getting a very good response from the students. All the students are very happy about the physical classes. On September 5, the Jammu & Kashmir government ordered the reopening of schools for class 12 and 10 students and staff with 50 per cent capacity.
