The CBI has booked – Affinity Education Private Limited and its directors “in consideration of a large sum of money by manipulating the online JEE (Mains) examination and allowing interested students to get admission in the top NITs by solving the applicant’s question paper through remote access from a chosen examination” – centre in Sonipata (Haryana).
Two directors of a Noida-based private institute and five others have been arrested for alleged rigging of JEE Main exam 2021.
The last session of the examination concluded on September 2 and the result is awaited. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), being conducted four times this year, is the national level entrance examination conducted for admission to engineering programs across the country.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Raids 20 Places:
CBI spokesperson, Joshi said that on 01.09.2021 a case was registered against a private company and its directors, three employees and private persons including others. CBI conducted raids at 20 places across the country. The search operation was carried out in various cities including Pune, Delhi-NCR, Jamshedpur and many other places.
There is a crack in the JEE (Main) exam. Students appearing in such competitive examinations prepare very hard while battling different kinds of difficulties. We, as a nation, test them impartially.
The Congress on Saturday demanded a Supreme Court-monitored probe into the matter after the CBI arrested seven people. Government of India is better able to provide cover up, – said Congress Leader R Gandhi.
Paper Leaks are Happening in Bihar & Uttar Pradesh:
NSUI President Neeraj Kundan said that even in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, paper leaks are happening in recruitment exams, but many paper leaks are not reported.
