On the third day of engineering entrance exam – JEE Main, students find Chemistry and Mathematics section moderately difficult while Physics section is said to be easy as compared to other two sections.

Section-Wise Analysis Of JEE Main (Paper-1) Day 3

    • Mathematics Was (Medium Level):
      Questions were asked from all the chapters. Some numerical-based questions require lengthy calculations. Weightage was given to Conic section and Probability chapter which had more than one question. Some students found this section to be tough.
    • Physics Was (Easy Level):
      Questions asked from Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Fluids, Current Electricity and AC Circuits. As far as the coverage of the chapters is considered, it was a balanced section. Numerical based questions were easy. Communication Systems and Modern Physics were given more weightage.
    • Chemistry Was (Moderate Level):
      Organic chemistry was given more weightage. Inorganic Chemistry had mostly NCERT questions. More weightage was given to chapters like Environmental Chemistry, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Biomolecules. There were questions from p-block elements in inorganic chemistry. The questions from Physical Chemistry were in numerical based section only.

Questions Cover Almost All The Chapters

Almost all chapters of CBSE Board Class 11 and 12 Questions were covered. The question paper was balanced according to the students in terms of the coverage of the chapters. The level was very similar to the examinations conducted in February and March.
Mathematics and Chemistry were moderate while Physics was the easiest of the three subjects. Overall, this paper was of moderate level according to the students, – said Ramesh Butlish.

Mathematics was long and moderately difficult; Chemistry was also of moderate difficulty level. Some students said that some of the chemistry questions were from outside the NCERT books. A good number of questions were from Physical Chemistry in the numerical based section. There were many questions in Mathematics from Coordinate Geometry.

Last Minute Tips To Ace JEE Main 2021 Exam

    • JEE Main 2021 Exam Guidelines:
      The candidates appearing for the exam will have to follow the JEE Main 2021 exam guidelines. The exam guidelines are provided by NTA and students can easily check them from the admit card. In the examination hall, candidates are required to carry only one transparent water bottle, 50 ml personal hand sanitizer, one ballpoint pen, JEE Main 2021 admit card on A4 size sheet, one passport size photograph, valid and original ID proof, duly filled is allowed to be carried.
      Self-declaration for diabetic students, mask, gloves, PWD certificate (if applicable), sugar tablets or fruits like apple/banana/orange. NTA will also provide 3 ply masks and sanitizers at the exam centre.
    • There Will Be Negative Marking:
      JEE Main exam will be of 3 hours. Candidates will have to answer 90 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Maths. However, candidates need to solve a total of 75 questions. Each question will be of 4 marks and there will be negative marking of 1 mark in MCQ questions only.
      Choose those questions, especially in MCQs, of which they are 100 percent sure. However, in NVT, students can hit and try, as no marks will be deducted for wrong answers.
    • Don’t Start Anything New:
      Another important tip is not to stress too much. Don’t start anything new. In fact, modify what has already been done. It can be a good idea to practice JEE Main previous year question paper as there are many repeated questions asked in the exam. To quickly access the performance, candidates can also use JEE Main 2021 answer key while solving the question paper.
    • Solve Mock Tests Regularly:
      Apart from question paper candidates can also solve mock tests. It is recommended that candidates solve online mock tests for JEE Main 2021. This will help in practicing taking the actual test.
    • Keep Refresh On Exam Day:
      Candidates should also go through JEE Main February and March session question papers once. It will give a good idea about the upcoming exam. It is very important to get good sleep before the exam. Candidates are advised not to study too late or till midnight before the exam. Take at least 7-8 hours of sleep. This will help in staying fresh on the day of the exam.
