The engineering entrance exam will end on September 2. The first shift ended on Tuesday at 12 noon and the second shift will start at 3 pm. Overall the paper was moderate as per AK. Sharma, National Director of Academics (Engineering).
According to various experts, Joint Entrance Examination Main, 2021 held in morning shift on 31st August was moderately difficult. The maths section, Mr Sharma said, was moderate for a large section of the students and some questions involved lengthy calculations.

Analysis of Question Paper

Analysis Data Of Question Paper:

    1. From another part of Math Coordinate Geometry, four questions were from Coordinate Geometry, said the expert.
    2. Mathematics there were 8 questions from Algebra, 7 to 8 from Calculus, at least 5 from Algebra and 3 to 4 from Vector and 3D.
    3. From Physics paper which was easy according to Mr. Balatish but according to Mr. Sharma, the paper was of moderate level.
    4. Communication systems, semiconductors and electromagnetic induction were given more weightage.
    5. Different Questions were asked from Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Fluids, Current Electricity and AC Circuits.
    6. Two questions were from Optics, at least 5 from Mechanics, 2 or 3 from Thermodynamics and 2 from Semiconductors – Mr AK. Sharma said.
    7. It was a balanced section as far as the coverage of the chapters is considered. Numerical based questions were easy.

Most of the Questions Asked

Most of the questions in the numerical section were from physical chemistry, Mr Sharma said. Both experts said the chemistry was “EASE TO MODERATE” in difficulty. Questions were asked from environmental chemistry and in organic chemistry, questions were asked from compounds of carbonyl & alcohol. In Physical Chemistry, there were questions from Electrochemistry and Chemical Kinetics.

NCERT Based Questions:
Mr Balatish said that more importance was given to organic and inorganic chemistry chapters than physical chemistry. Most of the questions from Inorganic Chemistry were the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) based.

Mathematics Was the “Toughest”

As Mathematics Was the “Toughest” In Day 4:
The second shift of Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) BTech, BE paper held on the fourth day of the fourth session had the toughest maths and the easiest chemistry paper.

FIITJEE was Of Moderate Level with Questions:
The JEE Main BTech paper was of moderate level with questions covering almost all the chapters of the CBSE Class 11 and Class 12 standard syllabus, according to students affiliated with FIITJEE. The level of difficulty was balanced according to the students.
According to the analysis of the students, the questions were “MODERATE” in difficulties level. In terms of order of difficulty, Chemistry was the easiest paper.

JEE Main BTech Paper Consisted Of 3 Subjects

JEE Main BTech paper consisted of three subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. However, there were no negative marks in the numerical value-based questions in JEE Main, B.Tech, BE paper.
Four marks will be awarded for correct answers and one negative mark will be marked for wrong answers.

B.Tech (Paper Analysis Of Maths):

    • 1) Difficulty Level: Moderate (As per Analysis Data)
    • 2) Some students reported that numerical based questions require lengthy calculations
    • 3) The questions cover all the chapters, though weighting was given to the chapters on Calculus and Algebra
    • 4) Continuity and Differentiation, Applications of Derivatives, Definite Integrals, Matrices, Progression, Binomial Theorem, Permutation and Combination, Vectors and 3D Geometry some good level questions were asked.
B.Tech (Paper Analysis Of Physics)

1) Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate (As per Analysis Data)
2) Questions were asked from almost all the chapters though weightage was given to the chapters of class 12.
3) Some students reported that the numerical section had difficult questions
4) Some good questions were asked from Current Electricity, Wave Optics, Electrostatics, Electromagnetic Induction and Semi-conductors.
5) Calculation of numerical based questions was lengthy but easy.

B.Tech (Paper Analysis Of Chemistry):

    • 1) Difficulty Level: Easy (As per Analysis Data)
    • 2) More importance was given to organic chemistry than inorganic and physical chemistry
    • 3) Weightage was given to chapters like Amines, Biomolecules, Alcohols, and Environmental Chemistry
    • 4) Fact based questions were asked from National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
