Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has extended the registration deadline for admission to undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and diploma courses till May 25. Earlier, the last date for submission of JMI admission form was May 13. The last date for registration has been extended for all Jamia programs including UG, PG, PG Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Diploma programs, except PhD programme.
Applicants who have applied for JMI programs under CUET are also required to fill the JMI registration form on the university exam website by 25.05.
Jamia said this was done because the last date for registration for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) has been extended till May 22. Candidates who wish to apply for JMI programs can register themselves at the website- jmi.ac.in.
Jamia Millia Islamia is also likely to postpone its entrance exams as the dates are overlapping with those of CBSE Class 12 board exams. The revised schedule is likely to be released soon.
Jamia had earlier announced that admission to 10 courses would be through CUET. Last month, the university released its admission brochure and said that the online admission forms were made available from April 14.
As per the schedule, the entrance exam for courses not covered under CUET was to be conducted by the institute from June 2.
In view of the extension in the last date of CUET Admit Card, the Vice Chancellor, Jamia has approved the extension in the last date for filling the online application form for all Jamia programs like PG/ PG Diploma/ UG / Advanced Diploma. Diploma Programs and Foreign Nationals / NRI, from 13.05.2022 to 25.05.2022 for the academic session 2024-25 except PhD programs, – the university said in a notification.
BA (Hons) Hindi, BA (Hons) Sanskrit, BA (Hons) Spanish and Latin American Studies, BA (Hons) French and Francophone Studies, BA (Hons) Economics, BA (Hons) History and BA (Hons) Turkish Language and Literature and BSc in Biotechnology and BVOC (Solar) Energy), BSc (Hons) Physics.
Term 2 exams for class 12 board exams are to end on June 13. In April, Jamia released its admission details and said that online admission forms were made available from April 14. The university had earlier announced that there would be admission in 10 courses through CUET.
