The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) had recently declared the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) exam results, and 99.98 percent had passed Class 10 and 99.76 percent had passed Class 12. For those who are dissatisfied with their results, the process is not over yet.
Students who are not happy with the marks given through the alternative marking scheme can appear in the improvement exam, which will be conducted from August 16. Earlier the last date to apply for these exams was 1st August, but now it has been extended to 4th August. Candidates can register themselves by visiting cisce.org.
Compartment Examination:
The board will also conduct compartment exams for those students who have not been given a pass certificate but have passed in ENGLISH AND THREE other subjects in class 10 and English and two other subjects in class 12.
Requests for transfer of centres for such students may also be forwarded to the Council through the career portal. The module for submission of request for transfer of centres will be activated after the registration of candidates for these examinations.
The candidates who have sent the dispute resolution request can get themselves registered for the correction test if they so desire.
How to Improve an Unhappy Student:
The results of the ICSE and ISC exams were declared on Saturday, and 99.98 per cent class X and 99.76 per cent class XII passed. For the students who were not able to pass or who are dissatisfied with their result, the process is not over yet.
If the students have any objection in calculating their results through the alternate evaluation scheme of the board, they can turn to the dispute resolution mechanism prepared by the board.
In the event, a candidate has an objection with respect to the calculation of marks in the result, he/she may make a written application to the school concerned stating the objection in details with the reasons. The Head of the school or Principal concerned will review the application, and only on being satisfied with the arguments made therein, forward it to CISCE with their remarks in support of the arguments made and to support the opinion regarding calculation of marks, having documents support within 7-8 days from the date of declaration of result – states the board exam rules for this year.
There Is No “RECHECK” Option Available:
Thereafter, the board will review the application and notify the school if changes are required in the result.
There is no “recheck” option available since the assigned marks are given to the students.
Students who are not happy with the results obtained through the Alternative Evaluation Scheme can appear for an improvement test conducted by the board.
Though the board has not given any date for the same, it has said, – Subject to the situation being favourable and stable, the improvement examination should start before 1st September 2021.
The board will also conduct compartment examination for those students who have not been given a pass certificate but have passed in class X and English and three other subjects in class XII and two other subjects in class XII. The board has said that the examinations should start before September 1.
