In the first phase of the annual placement season, students have received 252 offers from various top companies of national and international repute for various roles. We have seen a significant jump in the enhanced pre placement offers for BTech and MTech graduate students. IIT Patna has received 37 PPOs (Pre-Placement Offers) in 2021, while it was 24 in 2020, which is 54.16 percent more than the previous session.
According to IIT Patna, the highest domestic package offered is Rs 61.4 lakh per annum to nine students from Oracle firm, and the highest international package offered is Rs 47.8 lakh to three students from Accenture Japan.
Other highest domestic packages include Atlassian offering 57.5 LPA to 6 students, MTX offering 51.11 LPA to one student, Adobe India offering 48 LPA to 9 students, Google India offering 46.9 LPA to 10 students for SWE role, release mentioned.

Till the first week of December, a total of 88 companies related to Software & IT, Finance & Banking, Analytics & Consulting, Core Engineering, E-commerce, Automobiles, Infrastructure, Manufacturing and Health care have recruited students for various profiles. For the first time more than 30 new companies participated in campus recruitment along with Zomato, Plutus Research, Oyo Rooms, Netapp, Unacademy, Texas Instruments, Housing.com, Tata Electronics, Sears, Flipkart, Qualcomm, Paytm, Tata Digital, Sterlite Technologies Is. So far, more than 79 percent BTech and 40 percent MTech students have got placements. In BTech, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering tops the list with 96% placements, followed by Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
