Indian Institute of Management Calcutta has launched an Executive Program in Business and Corporate Laws for working professionals who have an active interest in understanding the legal aspects of business especially in today’s dynamic times. Commenting on how the Business and Corporate Law program will help working professionals and entrepreneurs, PD. Prof R. Babu said on Sunday that the program will address various aspects of business and its operations.

The program will address various aspects of business and its operations which include – setting up business operations, raising capital – public offer, external commercial borrowing, private placement, liability, private equity or venture capital investment, capital and foreign exchange market regulations, strategic Management of IPR, dispute resolution through arbitration, etc.

The program culminates with a 3-day campus session (subject to CORONA guidelines Or rules) that will grant IIM Calcutta MDP Executive Education alumni status, an institute spokesperson said.
The program is designed keeping in mind the learning needs of Corporate Managers, Management Consultants, Corporate Secretarial Professionals, Corporate Legal Professionals, Risk Management, Corporate Planning and Strategy Professionals, Legal Consultants, CA & CS Professionals as well as Entrepreneurs.
Duration of classes:
The online classes will be of six months duration, and will be held on Sundays and Fridays every week. The duration of the classes will be of four hours, on Sundays from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and on Fridays from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm for three hours.
Working Professionals and Entrepreneurs with more than two years work experience and 50% in Graduation or Post Graduation. Campus and Alumni Status: The program culminates with a three-day campus session (subject to CORONA guidelines), leading to IIM Calcutta MDP Executive Education Alumni status.
