Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the validity of the program for those students whose validity expired in June. The June TEE 2021 schedules will now be valid till December 2021. IGNOU has also extended the assignment submission date for the students.
IGNOU said in a statement that in view of the CORONA-19 pandemic situation across the country, the validity of the program for students whose validity has expired from TEE June 2021 to TEE December 2021. The program validity of all students whose general/ re-admission/ extended validity was expiring in TEE June 2021 is being extended to TEE December 2021.
For Students to Submit their Work, Project, Dissertation, Thesis:
The university has taken this decision to extend the validity of June TEE 2021 till December in view of the CORONA-19 pandemic. IGNOU has allowed students to submit their assignments, projects, dissertations, thesis and other work during this extended period.
However, the university will not allow any new registrants who have not registered during this period before June 2020. The validity of 2 years course registration for MPB/ MP students will be automatically extended till December 2021.
IGNOU also shared the eligibility of the students and said, – this extension of validity of the program is being given to the students for appearing in TEE only for their already registered courses. No new registrant of any remaining course will be allowed, who is not already registered (before June 2020).
However, to help students complete their degree, only chances/corrections of courses already chosen (i.e., duplicate course option, last chance for examination, less credits) etc. are allowed, the university said.
Grade of Second Year Students will have:
This decision has been taken for the students who have enrolled in the admission session of July 2020. Students pursuing postgraduate courses will be marked on the basis of average marks/grades obtained by them in the term-end examination of second year courses. However, students are not exempted from submitting other components such as practical exams, assignments, project reports, dissertation, internship, fieldwork journal.
IGNOU will conduct the examination for the second-year undergraduate degree programs in the admission session of July 2020 and for the third and fourth semesters for the BCA degree programs registered in January 2021 for the admission session in December 2021.
Fee Adjustment for the Second Year:
In an official statement shared by IGNOU, that the examination fee already paid by the students for the term-end examination will be adjusted against the examination fee payable for the second year courses on June 2021 for the exempted courses.
Students who do not wish to be exempt may undertake term-end-examination of first-year courses in term-end-exams, subject to completion of the program, in December 2021 or later until the end of the maximum duration of the program. Other eligibility conditions applicable.
