The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has postponed the term-end examinations for December 2021 amid a spike in Covid-19 cases. The December TEE Exam 2021, scheduled to be held from January 20 to February 23, has been postponed until further notification. Students are advised to keep checking the university website at frequent intervals for examination related information and updates, – IGNOU said.
IGNOU TEE will be conducted in Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) pattern for certain programs including BDP/BTS/BCA/BSW, CBCS based undergraduate and Honours degree programmes. Students enrolled for December TEE can submit their assignments by January 15 in online and physical mode at the respective study centres. School of Computer and Informatics, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started online Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) programmes. The university said that Vice Chancellor Professor N. Rao inaugurated the programs with the dignitaries, Professor PVGD P. Reddy and others.
Open a channel of admission for computing courses:
IGNOU said that the basic objective of the program is to open a channel of admission for computing courses to the students pursuing 10+2 and wishing to take up computing/IT as a career. Program Coordinators Dr. A. Kumar (MCA) and Dr. Mishra (BCA) shared the details of the program and also touched upon the job opportunities after pursuing the programmes.

This master’s degree program is designed with a one-semester approach. The first-year courses are aimed at developing theoretical knowledge and practical skills in core computer science subjects. The second year is more focused on advanced courses providing conceptual framework and project work,” it added.
January session online on “SAMARTH” platform:
The university has started the re-registration portal. The last date for re-registration of IGNOU for January session is till January 31. Students can register online for the January session on the ‘Samarth’ platform. This applies to students studying for undergraduate, postgraduate or semester-based courses of two- or three-years duration.
