The Bar Council of India (BCI) has issued a statement dissociating itself from an alleged advertisement for an online law course on a website deceptively similar to that of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). BCI, the regulatory body for law education in the country, said that an attempt was made to show that this advertisement is on the website of IGNOU and the advertisement states that the university is starting admission through distance mode in LLB for the year 2022.
The Bar Council said, – BCI is issuing a press release to this effect and informing all stakeholders and general public about such degree course which is not being recognized and approved by BCI and it It is being advertised on a deceptive website similar to IGNOU. https://ignou.icnn.in/ignou-llb-admission/ which is not the official website of IGNOU actually using the name of IGNOU and IGNOU as per the letter received from its registrar not connected to the same in any way Is.

Foreign Language School, IGNOU has started online certificate program in Spanish and French languages from January 2022 session. Certificate courses in Spanish Language and Culture (CSLcol) and French Language (CFLOL) aim to introduce languages to beginners that will help them develop skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking.

According to the IGNOU release, – The general objective of this program is that learners acquire language skills as well as socio-cultural competence in the target language which will enable them to communicate effectively with the Spanish speaking world in activities related to daily life.
Meanwhile, the French language program is developed around the textbook Connexions, Methode de Français and is based on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) which is used for international standardization of the pedagogy of European languages around the world.
National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) PhD Entrance Exam for the academic session 2024-25 on February 24. With ten days left, the admit cards for the exam will be released soon on the website, ignou.nta.ac.in.
Last week, NTA released the advanced information sheets containing information about the exam centres allotted to the candidates. Advanced information sheets are not admit cards, the NTA had clarified.
