Delhi University Undergraduate Admission process is underway. The last date to apply for various programs is August 31. The university is expected to release the first admission cut-off list in the first or second week of September.
The university receives maximum number of UG application forms from CBSE students and an upward trend was observed in DU cut-off last year. This year, the cut-off is likely to be even higher as over 70,000 CBSE students have secured more than 95 per cent marks in their class 12 board exams.
Last year, Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) had put the first cut-off for BA Economics at 100 and Hindu College at 99.25.

DU Cut-Off 2020: BA Economics:

    1. Mahila Shri Ram College (LSR) 100 for women
    2. Hindu College 99.25
    3. Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) 99.

The lowest first cut-off for BA Economics was 94 at Sri Aurobindo College (Evening), and 95 at Satyavati College (Evening) and Bhim Rao Ambedkar College.
DU Cut-Off 2020: BA English:

    • 1) Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Miranda House 99
    • 2) Hindu College 98.50
    • 3) Gargi College, Hansraj College 98.

For BA English, the lowest cut-off was 91 in Vivekananda College and Kalindi College and 90 in Satyavati College (Evening) in the first list.
Two of DU’s colleges – St. Stephen’s College and Jesus and Mary College – have a different admission process and their cut off scores are released separately.

How to Apply DU Registration

The university has started the DU Admission 2021 online registration process for more than 70,000 seats in DU and affiliated colleges in undergraduate courses for the academic year 2024-25.

The last date to fill DU Registration Form 2021 is 31st August. The application process for postgraduate courses is already underway.
More than 3 lakh applications are expected this year as overall higher board exam marks have been obtained and many students are preferring to study in Indian universities this year instead of going abroad.

The DU registration process will be done for courses divided into two groups merit-based and entrance test-based.

Merit Based Syllabus

DU admission for merit based UG courses will be based on 2021 cut-off. This year CUCET has been cancelled due to COVID-19 safety concerns.
Centralized UG admission will be done through a registration-cum-application form. All departments/colleges will use the same registration-cum-application form for admission and candidates will not have to fill any other form.

Entrance Test Based Syllabus:
There are 12 UG courses which are based on DU Entrance Exam, Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET 2021). National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the entrance test in computer-based mode.

From the academic year 2024-25, admission to Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Bachelor in Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics and Masters of Physiotherapy will be done through DUET. It is already conducted for all PG courses.

DU Cut-Off 2021 for UG Courses

DU cut-off marks for UG courses will be released in September. DU’s nine cut off list was released last year. They depend on the number of applications received, number of seats, relative marks etc.
The DU cut-off marks are calculated on the basis of the “best of four” marks obtained in class 12, choosing a language or a specific subject for the UG course.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate must have passed class 12 examination of any Board/University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to 10+2 system.

Merit Based Program for UR/OBC/EWS: ₹250
For SC/ST/PWBD: ₹100

Additional registration fee for each admission-based program for UR/OBC/EWS: 750
For SC/ST/PWBD: ₹300
