Delhi University (DU) will start the registration process for postgraduate (PG) courses from today. The application process for Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) 2021 has also started from July 26. Around 20,000 seats are available in variety PG courses in 2021. According to university officials, it received over 4,500 visitors in the first 15 minutes.
The registration window for PhD and MPhil programs has started from tomorrow. The university had said that the registration process for undergraduate courses would start from August 2 and the last date to apply would be August 31. The Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) for admission this year has been rejected.
Steps To Register For PG Courses:
Like last year, this year also the entire admission process will be online. To assist students through the process and address their queries, the university has organized four “Virtual Open Days” for postgraduate programmes. These will be from July 27 to July 30 at 5 pm.
The university will conduct entrance exams for 13 courses for the upcoming academic session, to which four courses will be added this year. The four new courses for which admission will take place from this year are Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Bachelor in Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics and Masters of Physiotherapy.
Delhi University (DU) officials on Saturday confirmed that admission to undergraduate courses for the academic session 2024-25 will be through cut-offs based on merit as in previous years. The registration for UG courses will start from August 2 and the last date for application will be August 31.
In a press conference on Saturday, Admission to graduate merit-based programs will be based on cut-offs as per the practice of previous years. The Admissions Branch is working with the principals of the colleges on the modalities to fix the cut-offs to avoid over- and under-admissions.
Acting Vice Chancellor said that the registration for postgraduate courses and DU Entrance Test (DUET) based courses to be conducted by the National Testing Agency. Admission to MPhil and PhD courses will be as per the same schedule.
From this year, admission to Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Bachelor in Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics and Masters of Physiotherapy will be done through DUET.
It is said by Gupta- keeping in mind the convenience of the students due to the “UNPRECEDENTED PANDEMIC SITUATION”, the eligibility criteria and fee structure will remain the same as last year.
Keeping in view the challenges faced due to the KOVID-19 pandemic last year, this year, for the benefit of the students, the University has decided to maintain the eligibility criteria as in the previous year.
The University has also decided that there will be no change in the registration FEE or MERIT based and admission-based admission. Centralized UG admission will be done through a registration-cum-application form. All departments or colleges will use the same registration-cum-application form for admission and candidates will not have to fill any other form.
Like last year, admission to sports and extra-curricular activities (ECA) will also be conducted completely online, and will be based on certificates rather than tests.
Admission branch is planning to conduct webinars and upload tutorial videos to help the candidates in the entire admission process. The announcement of these webinars will be published on the University website from time to time.
Computer based help desk 24X7 in the form of Chatbot and e-mail will also be available round the clock to answer the queries of the candidates.
