Schools in Delhi will resume in offline mode from April 1 for all classes from nursery to class 12. As per the DDMA guidelines, the schools will run only physical classes, and no online classes will be conducted. The chief minister said the restrictions were lifted as the CORONA-19 situation improved and people were facing difficulties due to the restrictions.

Though schools in the national capital were earlier reopened for all classes, it was being operated in hybrid mode. Meanwhile, schools for classes 9 to 12 are being operated in physical mode. On December 28 last year, schools in the city were briefly reopened before closing again in view of the third wave of the coronavirus driven by its OMICRON version.
However, schools are free to decide the number of students:
While the Centre has removed from its guidelines the clause mandating parental consent for students to physically attend classes, the Delhi government has decided to continue with it. However, schools are free to decide the number of students based on their infrastructure keeping in mind the CORONA protocol.
With the decline in CORONA-19 cases across the country, Mumbai has decided to resume offline classes with full attendance from March 2. Maharashtra Tourism and Environment Minister A. Thackeray said that schools and other educational institutions will reopen with pre-covid timings for full attendance and extra-curricular activities.

Schools and colleges in Maharashtra’s Pune district reopened from February 1, while in other parts of the state, schools for students from pre-primary to class 12 reopened from January last week after a long break due to the onslaught of coronavirus.
Earlier today, the Delhi government has decided to withdraw all CORONA-related restrictions including night curfew in Delhi, to resume physical classes in schools from April 1. Though schools in the national capital had earlier re-opened for all classes, they were being operationalised, Hybrid Mode. Jharkhand allows reopening of schools in all districts from March 7:
The Jharkhand government on Friday allowed reopening of schools from class one in all districts of the state as the corona situation improved. Earlier the government had allowed reopening of schools for all classes in 17 of the 24 districts – which were reporting a comparatively high number of corona cases.
This decision was taken in the meeting of State Disaster Management Authority chaired by Chief Minister H. Soren on Friday. Institutions of higher education such as colleges, universities and ITIs were earlier allowed to reopen. Schools in these seven districts were earlier allowed to reopen for classes 9 to 12 from February 1, however, offline examinations for classes 1 to 8 in these seven districts have been put on hold till March 31, 2022, the state said.
