Delhi Government School Students To Give Over 100 Start-Up Ideas

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Monday that the government will organize a Business Blasters Investment Summit on March 5, during which more than 100 business ideas of government school students will be presented to investors. He said that the idea behind these is to give 500 to 700 students direct admission to BBA programs in state universities and colleges, including Delhi Technological University, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and Netaji Subhash Technological University.

Program to be held at Tyagaraj Stadium

Mr. Sisodia, who also holds the education portfolio, said that 51,000 start-up ideas were submitted by students to the Business Blasters initiative, out of which 1,000 were selected for the second round of the programme. Over 100 student-led top business ideas have been selected from these 1,000 ideas. We will be organizing Business Blasters Investment Summit on 5th March at Tyagaraj Stadium. Mr. Sisodia said, these top business ideas will be put before the investors. I want all the investors in the country, who are interested in new business ideas, to participate in the summit.

Government, helps students of Classes 11 and 12 to propose business ideas

Business Blasters is a Delhi government start-up program where class 11th and 12th students come up with business ideas and the government helps them shape these pitches. Mr. Sisodia said that the shortlisted students have been given training to answer all business-related questions.

Government will start companies like Apple, Google in future through schools:
Mr. Sisodia said, – I would like to invite all the investors to come and see where the future owners of companies like Tata, Birla and Infosys are studying today. These students will one day give employment to many others.
He said that future CEOs are being nurtured in Delhi government schools through the Business Blasters program and they will “start companies like Apple, Google in the future”.

Influenced by the business ideas of Delhi government school students

In a statement, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the business ideas of student entrepreneurs of government schools in Delhi have great potential. Investors should build their confidence by investing in our budding entrepreneurs. Influenced by the business ideas of the school students of Delhi Government, investors across the country have offered them an investment of Rs 12 crore, – Mr Sisodia said in the statement.

Schools are becoming employment providers

He said that Delhi’s government schools are becoming job creators and contributing to the country’s economy. The Business Blasters program is one of the largest start-up programs in the world, with over 3 lakh students from Delhi government schools forming over 51,000 teams and receiving seed money of Rs 60 crore.
