The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 Board Exam Result 2021 is expected to release by July 20, 2021. Marks obtained by students in tests and internal examinations conducted at the school level during the academic year – internal assessment marks and marks obtained in periodic tests, half-yearly or mid-term examination and pre-board examination – for preparation of class 10 board examination marksheet 2021 will be considered.
Class 10 CBSE exams were scheduled to be held from May 4 to June 7 but were canceled in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. CBSE had earlier directed its affiliated schools to complete the practical exam online and submit the marks before June 30. Hence, the practical component, and the policy for calculation of practical marks, will remain unchanged.
The evaluation criteria of the board are as follows – 20 marks for each subject for internal assessment like each year, 10 marks for periodic/unit test, 30 for half-yearly/mid-term examinations and 40 marks for pre-board examinations Will be
Students unable to obtain the minimum passing marks will also be given “grace marks” while calculating the results.
“If any student is not able to fulfil the eligibility criteria, after the implementation of grace marks policy by the Board, he/she will be placed in the category “Required Duplication” or “Compartment”.
Students who are not satisfied with CBSE 10th result, there will be written test, registration which will start after result declaration. CBSE will probably conduct compartment exams between August 15 and September 15 when the COVID situation becomes normal.
CBSE had on April 14 cancelled the Class 10 exams and postponed the Class 12 exams in view of the rise in COVID-19 cases. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Board exams are usually conducted in February-March. However, the board had decided to conduct these in May-June this year due to the pandemic situation.
