The Chhattisgarh government on Friday approved a proposal to open kindergartens at 6,535 places in the state. The proposal of the School Education Department was approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhupesh ji earlier in the day.
He said that kindergartens for children in the age group of five to six years would be started at 6,535 places where Anganwadi centres are located in the school premises. He said that this initiative will benefit 68,055 out of 3,23,625 students in the age group from the academic year 2024-25.

Apart from this, the cabinet also approved Chhattisgarh Regularization of Unauthorized Development Bill (CRUDB) 2022 to amend the Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill 2022 and Chhattisgarh Unauthorized Development Regulation Act 2002 to present the budget estimate for the year 2024-25 in the Vidhaan Sabha.

The Jharkhand government on Thursday said it will ensure that the construction of model schools in all districts is completed by December 2022, with an aim to provide quality education at par with public schools. After this, the work of building 330 model schools at the block level would start, an official release said.
The construction of model schools in 24 districts of Jharkhand is about to be completed by December 2022. The state government is planning to set up three model schools per district across the state.
Model schools will provide high standard of education and modern infrastructure to the children coming from poor families. It said, these include a district school, a girls’ high school and a Kasturba school. Once the school building is ready, the government will start providing books and other resources as per the pattern of private schools.
The Jharkhand government is working expeditiously to complete the construction of at least two model school buildings in 13 districts, the release said.
