The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will organize orientation sessions for Principals, Vice Principals, Senior Teachers of affiliated schools to create more awareness about the nationwide “Young Warrior NXT” programme. On the other hand, in the country’s financial capital Mumbai, till August this year, more than 4,000 children were found to be suffering from acute malnutrition.
As per CBSE, there is no participation fee for participating in this online orientation. The link to participate in the orientation will be e-mailed to the participants one day prior to the orientation on the e-mail ID provided at the time of registration.
As an extension of the “Young Warrior NXT” movement, around 100 schools will be selected to run a “Life Skills Training Initiative” for 4 weeks between January-February 2022 for students of class 9 and Class 11. Students will also receive participation certificate by UNICEF and CBSE.
The ‘Young Warrior NXT’ program was launched with the aim of empowering 10 million young students in the age group of 14-24 years in essential life and employability skills like communication, problem solving, self-awareness.

As of August this year, 4,195 children in Mumbai city were found to be suffering from severe malnutrition. The maximum number of cases were found in Dharavi, Malwane, Mankhurdi and Govandi areas.
In the country’s financial capital Mumbai, more than 4,000 children were found to be suffering from severe malnutrition till August this year, a Maharashtra-minister told the state legislative council. Women and Child Development Minister Y. Thakur gave this information while answering a question of Congress MLC Bhai Jagtap in the Upper House of the state legislature on Thursday.
The Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre was set up at Mumbai’s Hospital called “satabdi” on 20 August to provide medicine to children to come out of acute malnutrition. Other schemes are also being implemented to improve the health of malnourished children and their mothers; Ms Thakur added.
