The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Term 1 Examination 2022 for class 10 and 12 will end on December 11 and December 22, 2021 respectively. Meanwhile, the board has released an official notice on the mode of responses on the OMR sheet, which is effective from December 7, 2021.

CBSE Term 1 Exam 2022 is witnessing this change in the middle of the exam as the board has taken into consideration the problems faced by the teachers or staff evaluating the OMR sheets. Moreover, this time the question papers are being corrected on the same day after the exam is over. Hence these instructions have been issued to save more time of teachers which all students are expected to follow.

OMR Options will be Marked with Capital Letters:

    • a) As per the notice, it has been observed that sometimes the evaluators are not able to differentiate between the lowercase letters during the evaluation. Due to this, the evaluation of OMR is taking more time.
    • b) It is further stated, therefore, that in the examinations to be held from 7th December, 2021 to the end, the OMR options marked by the candidates in capital A, B, C and D shall be marked as correct. Feedback. This decision is being taken amid the conduct of examinations.

OMR Sheet Evaluation

Following Action Will Be Taken Strictly On OMR Sheet Evaluation:

    1. The Assistant Superintendents should announce instructions that now the answers should be given in capital A, B, C and D and not in minor A, B, C and D.
    2. Invigilators should ensure that all candidates are answering in Capital A, B, C and D.
    3. The invigilator should ensure that the responses are given by the candidates during the conduction of the examination by taking multiple rounds in capital A, B, C and D.
    4. Centre superintendents are directed to disseminate the above information as soon as possible.
    5. All centre superintendents are directed to disseminate the above information and ensure that the instructions given by CBSE are being strictly followed by visiting all the rooms during the examination.
    6. All school principals shall also inform their teachers and students going for inspection while on duty to follow these instructions.
