CBSE Students have an Opportunity to Represent India in IOQ Olympiad.

The most prestigious Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), a national centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), is the nodal agency of the Government of India for implementing the Olympiad program in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy and Junior Science. The National Olympiad culminates in the participation of Indian teams in the International Olympiad in various disciplines. IOQ exams will be conducted in various subjects, three Sundays in the month of January 2022.

World’s Brightest Secondary and Higher Secondary Students

The International Olympiad Movement aims to bring together the world’s brightest secondary and higher secondary students in a friendly competition of the highest level. Olympiads are the meeting place of the brightest young minds of the world and provide an impetus to the students to start a career in science or Mathematics.

The Program is Fully Recognized by the Government of India For

The Olympiad program is fully funded and recognized by the Government of India. There is no financial burden on the students other than the nominal enrollment fee. In each discipline, the program progresses through several stages of selection and training conducted by HBCSE, leading to the Indian team’s participation in an international event held at a foreign location.

Students Need to Register & Enroll Themselves

To participate, students need to register and enroll themselves for the first stage of selection, the Indian Olympiad Qualifiers (IOQ), in as many subjects as they are interested in, provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria. IOQ examinations in various subjects will be conducted on three Sundays in the month of January 2022. The registration process for IOQ will start from September 25, 2021.
