The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and schools and other important institutions of higher education will work together to shape the new paradigm of education so as to make education job-oriented. Under this, seven national educational institutions including CBSE, NCERT, UGC, AICTE and Department of Higher Education will run a joint campaign. Skill and employable education will be promoted in school and college education through this initiative. Language learning will also be viewed as skill development of the students.

Creating Employable Ecosystem

According to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the Ministry of Education has started a joint effort of seven institutions including CBSE, NCERT, UGC, AICTE and Ministry of Skills in this direction. According to the Ministry of Education, the government’s effort is to create an ecosystem in which the youth of India can be educated as well as make them employable. Senior officials of the ministry said that the knowledge and skills of the youth will be the fuel for building a self-reliant India by promoting production, manufacturing and research in India.

Learning A Foreign Language

In fact, under the new education policy, it has been decided to promote skill and employable education. The Ministry of Education believes that foreign languages can also be part of the skill development of students. And learning Japanese for example should be an additional skill for us. This is an additional skill for a student who studies Japanese language after completing his Masters in English Literature. In the coming times, Japan’s bullet train is coming to India, in such a situation, youth will get opportunities in many high positions as high-level management and consultants.

National Curriculum Framework for Schools

At the same time, the Ministry of Education has also constituted a National Steering Committee to prepare the National Curriculum Framework. The committee is developing four national curriculum frameworks based on the vision of NEP 2020.

These include the National Curriculum Framework for School Education, the National Curriculum for the Care and Education of Young Children, the National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education and the National Curriculum Framework for adults. Education.

More Skilled Professionals

Demand for New Skills and More Skilled Professionals:
According to the Ministry of Skill Development, the tremendous changes taking place in various sectors will create new skills and demand for more skilled professionals. The committee was headed by Indian space scientist K. Kasturirangana, who headed the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Kasturirangana was also the chairman of the drafting committee of the NEP, 2020.

Apart from Kasturirangana, 11 other members have also been given place in this committee. And thus, skill mapping at the district level and skill development efforts will need to be directed accordingly.
