The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct class 10 and class 12 practical exams from March 2. Term-2 board exams for class 10 and class 12 students are scheduled to be held from April 26.

As per the CBSE practical exam dates, the board has said that practical exams, projects and internal assessments will be conducted from March 2 and the last date will be 10 days before the last exam date of the respective classes. The board further states that the extension of dates will not be considered by CBSE. The board has issued detailed guidelines on how the practical exam will be conducted for class 10 and class 12 students.
CBSE said the marks in respect of all practical examinations, projects and internal assessment will have to be uploaded simultaneously from March 2. The uploading of marks will be completed by the last date of the respective class,- the board said.
The students have been asked to strictly follow the COVID-19 rules like wearing of face masks, gloves, maintaining social distance during the examination. They are allowed to bring their own hand sanitizer.
No separate practical exam for private students:
CBSE has suggested that a batch of 10 students for practical exams may be divided into two subgroups to practice social distancing. There will be no separate practical test for private students. Marks to those students will be allotted on proportionate basis on the basis of marks obtained in theory examination. However, private students of class 12th who failed last year will have to appear in the practical exam.
While several boards including the Central Board of Secondary Education and the Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations are set to conduct Term 2 exams in April, several other state boards including Maharashtra, Assam, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan will begin their board exams 2022 in March.
CBSE Class 10, 12 exams will be conducted in offline mode from April 26, 2022, while CISCE is likely to conduct ICSE class 10 and ISC class 12 semester 2 exams in the last week of April.
