CBSE has asked schools to estimate the number of students who are interested in choosing the subjects. In notification, the board has announced that the details need to be submitted by 31 August.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will reintroduce Communicative English and Communicative Sanskrit “from the academic year 2024-25 for class 9 and subsequently in class 10 in the year 2024-25”.
Before closing down in 2018, CBSE used to offer languages at two levels – COMMUNICATION & BASIC. Communication courses focused on content about communication skills and day-to-day use of the language.
After all, this decision has been taken under the new education policy. The Mahima decision was made as per the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
CBSE is Planning to Introduce Different Levels As:
The core courses focused on poetry and drama, along with concept-based reading and writing in the subject. According to, CBSE (Academic) director J. Emanuel, the purpose of communication approach is to develop the core competency of the student in the language.
Central Board of Secondary Education, (CBSE) is planning to introduce both English and Sanskrit at the communication levels. The re-introduction will focus on the importance of real-life contexts, helping students apply their knowledge to real-life situations.
Many principals have welcomed the move. According to J. Aruraa, principal of Mt. Abu Public School, the move will lead to a more application-based understanding of languages. He said that it will also provide maximum options to the students.
Three Language Formula:
If you recall, the policy also announced that Sanskrit would be included as one of the options for higher education along with the three-language formula.
The National Education Policy (NEP) was approved by the cabinet in July 2020. The policy placed significant emphasis on Sanskrit and other Indian languages, highlighting the need to integrate Indian languages with school and higher education learning at all levels.
The board had released the admit card for the private students who appeared for the offline exam on 20th August 2021. Regular students have to collect their admit cards from their respective schools.
Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Board Exam 2021 for Class 10 and Class 12 is scheduled to begin from tomorrow, August 25, 2021. CBSE will conduct offline examination for private students and those who are not satisfied with their results released in July 2021.
Candidates appearing for the offline exam must note that the “ADMIT CARD” is a mandatory document to appear in the exam. The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Board Exam 2021 will conclude on September 15, 2021.
The exam for class 10 students will start with Information Technology paper and end with basic and standard Maths paper. On the other hand, the exam for class 12 students will start with English as a basic subject and end with Home Science paper. Students “Best of luck” for your bright future.
