CBSE Allows Students to Change Exam Centres from November 10, 2021.

CBSE has issued notice regarding change in exam centre on cbse.gov.in. Change of examination city or country for Term-I examinations for the session 2024-25. This is in continuation of the circular dated 20/10/2021 on the subject mentioned above in which students and schools were advised to keep in touch with CBSE website for exact dates for requesting for change of examination city or country.

Communicated for the Needy

Accordingly, The Following are Communicated for the Needy:

a) Facility to change examination city/country will be available to the students who are residing in any other city/country and not in the city/country where they are studying due to CORONA.
b) Students can request for:
i) Change of examination city/country for theory examinations.
ii) Change of examination city/country for theory examination and practical examination.
iii) Change of examination city/country for practical examination.

c) The student concerned shall request the school to change the centre city for the theory examination or practical examination or both as per the requirement.
d) While making the request, the student will inform the city(s)/country from where the student would prefer to appear in the theory test/practical.
e) Students will have the option to choose only one city as the centre of examination for both theory and practical. Two separate centres i.e., one for theory and one for practical will not be allowed.

f) In case the student opts to change the centre city of the Theory examination only, he/she will have to compulsorily appear in the practical examinations from his/her regular school of study.
g) The schedule of various activities will be as per the following details:

Students shall inform the school about the change of examination city on 10.11.2021 midnight as activity and date to the school through email or as notified by the school.
Schools will make a list of requests received and upload it on CBSE’s website on their login ID latest on 12/11/2021 midnight.

h) Based on the requests received by the school from the students, the school will log in to the school account on the CBSE website and submit the student details i.e., name of the student, roll number, city/country from where the student wishes to appear, in the exam.
i) Choice of city from where the exam is submitted should be done carefully as no change will be allowed after the request is submitted by the school.
j) Based on the request, CBSE will allot the exam centre in the same city or neighbouring city. The decision of CBSE in this regard will be final.

k). During the conduct of practical examination, the marks will be uploaded as per the instructions of the school from where the student has appeared for the practical examination.
l). Schools will be able to download the admit card along with the changed centre of examination from their school login account.
m). No request beyond the above schedule will be accepted by the Board.
