The Bihar government has reopened schools in the state for students from class 1 to Class 8 with only 50 per cent capacity in classrooms. Schools have also put in place some CORONA-19 safety measures to ensure that the virus does not spread to children. All students will have to wear masks on campus and maintain social distancing at all times.
Students have started attending offline classes in schools from, August 16. Schools have already been reopened for physical classes for students of class 9 to Class 12 in Bihar. After the first phase of resumption of physical classes, the government reviewed the KOVID-19 situation and reopened schools for junior classes.
Strict Kovid-19 Safety Measures In Bihar Schools:
The state has resumed physical classes in schools with only 50 per cent capacity in classrooms. Students will have to attend classes on alternate days and maintain proper social distancing in the school premises.
Students have been asked to wear masks at all times in the school premises. All students and staff members must adhere to the KOVID-19 safety norms issued by the state government and administration for the safe reopening of schools in the state.
In Bihar, coaching institutes for students above class 10 were allowed to reopen last week. Institutions were only allowed to reopen at 50 per cent capacity and all students attending physical classes were required to be vaccinated.
Government Will Ensure Vaccination:
According to this, the Bihar government will ensure vaccination of all the teachers coming to the schools for physical classes. The government will also conduct random CORONA-19 tests in schools to ensure that the virus does not spread.
Primary board schools in the state are set to reopen in compliance with the CORONA-19 protocol. From, YS Jagan Mohana Reddy will launch the first phase of Nadu-Nedu-Mana Badi at Singamsetty Prabhavati (ZPP) High School at P Gannavaram in East Godavari district on Monday and distribute Jagannath Vidya Kanuka kits.
The Kit Includes Three Pairs Of Uniforms:
Vidya Kanuka Kit aims to prepare students for the new academic year on the same lines as those attending private schools.
The Vidya Kanuka kit includes three pairs of uniforms, one Oxford English to Telugu dictionary, one pair of shoes, two pairs of socks, bilingual textbooks, notebooks, a belt and a school bag.
42,32,063 kits will be provided to students in government and aided schools across the state at a cost of ₹731.31 crore under Jagannath Vidya Kanuka Yojana for the academic year 2024-25.
CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will also unveil the second phase of his government’s flagship Mann Badi initiative. The objective of these schemes is to improve the infrastructure and learning environment of government schools.
The first phase of Nadu Nedu-Mana Badi was completed at a cost of ₹3,698 crore, covering 15,716 schools.
Under Nadu-Nedu (Then and Now) government schools will be renovated in three phases at a cost of ₹16,024 crore. In the second phase, 16,368 government schools will be renovated at a cost of ₹4,534 crore.
Main Features of the Improvement:
Major features of the improvements are toilets with running water, drinking water, major and minor repairs, electrification for tube lights and fans, furniture, green chalkboards, painting of the entire school, English lab, kitchen and campus wall.
