About 41 Percent MBBS Students in Bihar Fail in First Year

A majority of students, 57 percent, said they feel more positive about online learning now than before the pandemic. But in Bihar, a total of 1,175 students of MBBS first year, from nine medical colleges, appeared for the offline examination in March and out of them 449 failed. In view of such a large number of failures, the student wing of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) demanded re-evaluation of answer sheets. On the other hand, school children are watching obscene Bhojpuri songs on TV screens installed in smart classrooms in Bekhari Block of Beagusarai district of the Bihar state. 40% Of MBBS 1st Year Students Failed

Medical college results in Bihar were disappointing this year for both teachers and students as a record-high number of students failed to clear the exams. 41 percent of MBBS first year students failed to give their final exam results on August 30.

That Student Wing Cited The Impact Of The CORONA-19 Pandemic:
The letter to the Governor-cum-Vice Chancellor mentioned that out of the total number of students who failed, 105 students were from Medical College of Madhubani and 57 students were from Betteah Government Medical College.

Defending the high failure rate, the student wing cited the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the students. The students’ union said that the students had to face trouble while giving the examination. Due to the CORONA-19 pandemic, medical education has been provided to the students online, while the exam was conducted offline.

No Provision For Revaluation

Aryabhatta Knowledge University conducts the examination for all the nine medical colleges of Bihar. Speaking with media, R. Ranjan (Controller of Examinations, Aryabhatta Knowledge University) said that there is no provision to conduct re-evaluation for such a large number of failed students.

Students Will Appear In The Supplementary Examination:
The first-year examination of MBBS 2019 batch students was delayed by three months before it was held in March this year.
However, the Controller of Examinations informed that the university has allowed these students to appear in the second supplementary examination starting from September 27. They are filling the form for this exam.

Since, the Bihar government has provided better facility of smart class in all the schools of the state to provide quality education to the children, but that facility is becoming a means of obscenity for the children.

In the video going viral, it can be clearly seen that in the absence of the teacher, children are seen watching and listening to Bhojpuri Obscene Songs on the TV set for smart classes.
Girls are also present in the same class. After the video went viral, both the administration and the administration are under question. At present, neither the school management, neither the teachers nor the administration is speaking anything at the level.
