• Write the sentences in a regular order so as to carry on the line of thought.
• The first sentence should be the most appropriate because it describes the leading thought.
• Other sentences should elaborate this thought.
• The first sentence should not be too long.
• Write the sentences different from one another both in length and manner of construction.

Hard work is the key to success. There is no alternative to hard work. An idler depends too much on chance. He sits with folded hands and waits for some golden chance to come his way. The result is that he keeps sitting while others march and achieve whatever they desire. Lives of great men are the shining examples of dedication to work. They never bother about the nature of work. All work is noble. What is true of an individual is true of a nation also.

Only those nations progress whose people are hard-working and industrious. Japan, which was a backward country a century ago, is one of the most prosperous countries in the world today. And this prosperity has been achieved by the Japanese by dint of hard work.

I study in the Surya Model School, Uttam Nagar. It is one of the best schools in the city. There are about four thousand students in my school. It has fifty-five rooms which are quite spacious and well-ventilated. There is a big library in my school which contains thousands of books on various subjects. There is a big playground where students play different games. My school has well equipped science laboratories. There is also a computer lab with latest computer systems. There are eighty-five teachers in my school. All the teachers are highly qualified and well-experienced.

The teachers take personal care of the students and teach us with love, affection and care. The Principal of my school is Mr Raju Bhatnagar who ensures that discipline is maintained in the school. The music and P.T. teachers are also very capable in their work. My school is an ideal school and I am proud of my school.
