This results in various diseases, lung infections, respiratory problems, asthma, allergies, eye infections etc.

There are few vehicles which are useful to us at the times of emergency like ambulance, fire brigade etc. Helicopters, police van and recovery vans are also emergency vehicles wjhich help us when there is an emergency.
i. Helicopters- Helicopters are useful when there are natural disasters like flood, earthquake as at that time, they help to move people to safer areas and even ensure that help in the form of Things required by them reaches them timely, like food items, clothes etc.
ii. Recovery vans- In case of a breakdown of a vehicle or if a vehicle gets stuck in a pit or hole, recovery vans play an important role as they take the vehicle out or help the vehicle to reach the garage.
iii. Police van -It is used by the police for patrolling and thus enables them to respond to emergency situations like robbery, theft, riots and accidents.

Transport is important because it enables trade between people, which is essential for the development of civilizations as well as movement of goods and people.

Means of transportation means the various vehicles that are used by us to carry people and goods from one place to another. They make our life easy and comfortable and help us to reach our destination. Means of transportation is thus any of the different kinds of transport facilities used for moving goods and people from one location to the other. How has transportation changed in comparison to the earlier times?

Transport of both goods and people has now become much faster, easier and cheaper. Modern transport is engine driven whereas the old transport was animal driven or human had to do everything themselves. Modern transportation system is easier and faster than before. As new inventions and discoveries have been made and applied to transport, travel time has decreased and the ability to move more and larger loads increased.

Why don’t we use same means of transportation for our work?
We use different means of transport every day for travelling to different places. Transport carries both people and goods. When we have to travel a short distance, we use a cycle, a car, an auto rickshaw or a scooter. If the place is very far, we use a train or an aeroplane. Therefore, the kind of transport we choose to travel depends upon the distance to be covered and the time that we can spend on travelling.
