Our country has different geographical features. The land here is not alike everywhere. Somewhere it is low and somewhere high but at some place it’s surface is flat also. High raised parts of the land are called mountains. Rivers originate from the mountains.
Low parts of the land are filled with water. These parts generally form lakes. The parts which have flat surfaces are called plains.
Mostly all creatures live on land. We have schools, offices and factories on the land. Grains are grown on the land and so also many other things. Besides this, all natural things are also found on the land. We get everything from this land. So, we call it motherland or “Dharti Mata”.
