About Sequences and Series
Sequence and series are much more likely to mean the same as following a particular pattern. In class 11th NCERT solutions Maths you will study how to use the sequence in Arithmetic mean, geometric mean, and the relationship between A.M. and G.M.
To understand the sequence suppose that sequence is a mathematical group or collection of objects that have been sorted sequentially. Each object comes before or after the first member, second member, third member, and so on. A series is the continuations of a set of terms.
Features of Series and Sequences in 11th Maths
A sequence is a certain format of components in some specified order, whereas a series is the sum of the sequence constituents. Here the order of each object in a sequence is fixed. However, elements’ place is not fixed in the series.
A sequence is a list of numbers in a particular order and each number in the series is been called as Term. For example – The amount of money deposited in a bank for a certain period. This is a simple series with deposited amount as term.
Real-life application of 11th Maths Sequence and Series
Sequences have important applications in several spheres of human activities. Sequences, following specific patterns, are called progressions. In class 11 Mathematics chapter 8, student will learn about the arithmetic sequences and their uses in daily life for various purposes. These may be determining the number of members a class can hold, calculating potential earnings while working for the business, and similar more series.
Questions of Exercise 8.1 in Class 11 Maths
Arithmetic sequences in many mathematical equations, require a basic setup to allow problem-solving to begin. The first step in working towards a solution requires analyzing the situation to produce basic, preliminary information. There are only 14 questions in Class 11 NCERT Maths exercise 8.1 to solve. These are easy to solve by just putting the values in sequences.
The objective of providing the example just before exercise 8.1 is that post-reading the concept of the series and sequence. Students should read the example rather than jumping directly to work with the exercise.
